The first winner of an Awesome Ottawa grant in 2011 was Kym for her 100 Strangers Project. Over the past year Kym has met, talked to, and photographed many people. Her goal is to photograph 100 strangers to give us an insight into the people that build the communities in Ottawa.
With the help of photographs she is going to tell the story of Ottawa’s people right off the streets of Ottawa herself. She came up with the idea because she believes that this town is more than meets the eye.
To meet the Ottawa residents that Kym has met, go to her website: http://lemien.ca/
Do you know someone who has a story to be told? Got a friend whose style you admire? E-mail Kym at: Kimusan@lemien(dot)ca.
